Manual bookkeeping
What it connects
Manual bookkeeping is for workspaces that start from a SIE-4 export instead of a live accounting-system connection.
What Igdrasil imports
- Reads a SIE-4 file from another accounting system.
- Previews accounts, opening balances, vouchers, and import warnings.
- Applies the reviewed import plan after conflicts are resolved.
Requirements
Export a SIE-4 file from the previous accounting system. Confirm the company, fiscal year, and opening-balance expectations before importing.
Setup steps
- Open Integrations from the Workspace group.
- Select Manual bookkeeping.
- Upload the SIE-4 file.
- Review the import preview and warnings.
- Apply the import only after the preview matches the expected accounting data.
First checks
Open Chart of Accounts, Bookkeeping, and Reports to confirm that accounts, balances, and vouchers look correct before adding new work.
Daily use
Manual bookkeeping is usually an onboarding or migration path. After import, continue day-to-day review in Bookkeeping and connect live sources when needed.
Troubleshooting
If the import is blocked, resolve duplicate accounts, locked periods, accepted opening balances, or unsafe voucher conflicts before trying again.
Data handling
The uploaded SIE file becomes source evidence for the import. Keep the original export available until the migration has been reviewed.
