What it connects​

Telegram connects a company-owned Telegram bot to Igdrasil document capture.

What Igdrasil imports​

  • Stores the company's Telegram bot connection.
  • Receives receipt photos or invoice files sent to the bot.
  • Routes accepted documents into storage or accounting review based on the selected processing intent.

Requirements​

Create a Telegram bot with BotFather and keep the bot token ready. Decide whether new documents should be stored only or prepared for bookkeeping review.

Connect steps​

  1. Open Integrations from the Workspace group.
  2. Select Telegram.
  3. Paste the bot token.
  4. Choose the default processing intent.
  5. Connect the bot.
  6. Send a test receipt or invoice to the bot.

First checks​

Confirm the submitted file appears in Files and, if enabled, in Inbox review.

Daily use​

Use Telegram when employees already send receipts or invoices through chat.

Troubleshooting​

If files do not arrive, reconnect the bot token and confirm users are sending to the connected bot.

Disconnect and data handling​

Disconnecting the bot stops new Telegram submissions. Existing imported documents remain in Igdrasil.
