Zettle by PayPal
What it connects
Zettle connects a Zettle (PayPal) application to Igdrasil for card-payment activity, fees, and related settlement evidence used in reconciliation.
What Igdrasil imports
- Imports Zettle finance activity such as sales, refunds, fees, PayPal-wallet transfers, and payouts.
- Joins finance activity to purchase receipts for country, VAT, and line-item evidence when available.
- Keeps activity current through scheduled sync.
- Writes ledger drafts from the feed into the voucher series you choose for the connection.
Requirements
Create a Zettle application and keep the Client ID (application ID) and API key ready. Grant READ:FINANCE and READ:PURCHASE scopes. Igdrasil verifies both scopes and detects the settlement currency before saving the connection.
Connect steps
- Open Integrations from the Workspace group.
- Select Zettle by PayPal.
- Enter the Client ID and API key.
- Choose the voucher series for drafts created from Zettle activity.
- Connect and confirm the connection status.
- Open the Automations dashboard for the Zettle platform feed when you want to review sync schedule and run history.
First checks
Compare one sale or payout in Igdrasil with Zettle before relying on the feed for period review. Confirm new drafts use the voucher series you selected.
Daily use
Let scheduled sync keep Zettle activity current, then review drafts and bank matches before posting.
Troubleshooting
If connect fails, confirm both READ:FINANCE and READ:PURCHASE scopes are granted and the API key is still valid. If journals land on an unexpected series, update the voucher series on the connection before the next sync.
Disconnect and data handling
Disconnecting stops future Zettle imports. Previously imported accounting evidence remains in Igdrasil.
